About ISVRA The Italian Society of Veterinary Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine was founded in June 2001. The society runs a website for veterinarians, scientists and technicians who are engaged or interested in regional anaesthesia techniques for surgery and pain management. ISVRA mission is to encourage specialization and research, to encourage teaching, to edit and publish articles, and to promote and sponsor conferences, courses and workshops on regional anaesthesia and pain management in companion animals.
ISVRA Conference 2005 The 2nd ISVRA Annual Conference will be held in Carrara (Italy) the 29th October 2005, in conjunction with the XII Italian Chapter ESRA Meeting. Some issues about anaesthesia and pain in dogs, cats, and children will be addressed by human and veterinary specialists in the field. Have a look at the scientific programme (PDF Acrobat 6.0), and registration instructions and fees. In order to complete the registration, a proof of payment and a signed registration form (PDF Acrobat 6.0) have to be sent by mail, before September 30th 2005, to: ISVRA, Casella Postale, 10090 Reano (Torino), Italy. On-site registration will be possible only by cash payment in Euro. Abstracts are invited for poster presentation of topics related to regional anaesthesia and pain medicine, including sedation and general anaesthesia for regional techniques. Find instructions for authors in the Conference programme or in VRA 2005;3(1):14. Abstracts should be submitted to the organising committee at poster@isvra.org by 20th September 2005. Presenting authors will be entitled to free registration, and the best poster will be presented in the main programme. For more information contact conference@isvra.org
ISVRA Meeting on paediatric and geriatric veterinary anaesthesia A meeting on paediatric and geriatric veterinary anaesthesia will be held in Carrara the 30th of October 2005, the day after the Conference. Speakers will be F. Corletto DipECVA (Cambridge, UK) and L. Campoy DipECVA (Ithaca, NY, USA). The scientific programme (PDF Acrobat 6.0) is now available.
