Join us in Andalo (Trento), a village in the Paganella Ski Resort, for the 8th ISVRA Winter Week, and you won’t miss high quality CPD, skiing and social events !
The ISVRA Winter Week offers a combination of state of the art lectures, informal interactive sessions and an hands-on session provided by experts in the field of veterinary anaesthesia and pain management. It will take place the 22nd through the 28th of January 2018 and will include:
- a seminar about “Assessment and management of anaesthetic emergencies”. Date: Wednesday 24th of January at 11:00. Venue: Conference Hall, Hotel Melchiori, Andalo, Trento, Italy
- three workshops beside the piste. Date: Thursday 25th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of January from 9:30 to 12:30. Venue: a Rifugio (i.e. a slope-side bar & restaurant) in the Paganella Ski Area. You will be able to discuss topics of your choice with an ISVRA anaesthesia expert while having coffee, food, drinks, etc. Because discussion will happen in the Rifugio, attendance of non-skiing delegates is encouraged. Some skiing will take place during breaks. The ISVRA anaesthetist will be an expert skier, and he/she will be happy to provide some skiing tips & drills if asked.
- one hands-on session about propofol in dogs and cats: how to maximize induction, propofol vs inhalants for maintenance. Date: Friday 26th of January from 9:30 to 12:30. Venue: a Veterinary Referral Hospital nearby. Notes: attending delegates will manage induction, maintenance and recovery of clinical cases under the supervision of an ISVRA instructor.
