Alessandro Bonioli (Torino, Italy) will be a speaker at 8th ISVRA Congress in Riccione.
Alessandro is an ISVRA founder member and has been lecturing about regional anaesthesia for surgery in small animals since 2001. Although in those years regional anaesthesia was a neglected technique, nowadays it is a major option for a lot of surgical procedure, including thoracic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, abdominal and pelvic surgery, surgery of the perineum, etc.
Neuraxial anaesthesia, including segmental epidural anaesthesia and selective spinal anaesthesia, and peripheral blockade are popular subjects in Italian veterinary CPDs.
Alessandro will lecture about physiologic response to surgical stress and why and how to prevent it.
